为进一步推动和支持成员机构在跨境人民币业务中的创新与发展，特别是在绿色金融领域的应用与探索，“一带一路”绿色投资原则（GIP）第三工作组拟于2026年3月30日举办题为“跨境绿色投资过程中的人民币业务与产品创新”的研讨会。本次研讨会将采用线上和线下结合的方式举行，由渣打银行与兴业银行共同主办，德勤提供支持。

近年来，人民币在跨境使用中的应用场景持续扩展，结算规模和结算比例均实现显著增长。2024年，人民币跨境收付金额达到64.1万亿元，同比增长23%，占中国国际收支总额的53%，人民币结算份额首次超过美元，成为我国跨境交易的最大结算货币。与此同时，随着中国企业“走出去”步伐的加快，市场对跨境人民币业务的便利化、标准化和创新性提出了更高要求，尤其是绿色行业企业。国际资本市场上，中国融资利率较低，吸引了众多境外政府和机构通过发行熊猫债或开展人民币跨境项目投资，特别是在支持可持续发展和碳减排项目方面。加之“多边共同分类目录”（MCGT）的推出，资本市场对跨境绿色投资的标准化与透明度有了更大的信心，为人民币跨境绿色资本流动创造了新的机遇。

然而，许多企业和金融机构对相关政策的理解尚不充分，对现有产品体系掌握有限，在跨境支付流程中仍存在效率和成本上的问题。本次研讨会将通过政策框架解读与产品创新案例分享，探讨跨境绿色投资过程中人民币使用面临的挑战与机遇，以及如何开展产品创新。

We are pleased to invite you to the GIP Working Group 3 (WG3) seminar on “Cross-Border Green Investments: Use of RMB & Product Innovation,” which will take place on March 30, 2026. The seminar will be held both in person and online, and co-hosted by Standard Chartered Bank and Industrial Bank of China, with support from Deloitte.

The international use of the renminbi (RMB) has expanded rapidly in recent years. In 2024, RMB-denominated cross-border payments reached 64.1 trillion yuan, representing a 23% year-on-year increase and accounting for 53% of China’ s total cross-border payments. For the first time, the value of RMB cross-border payments surpassed those conducted in U.S. dollars.

This expansion reflects several broader developments in the global financial landscape. As Chinese enterprises continue to expand internationally, demand has grown for more convenient, standardized, and innovative RMB-based cross-border financial services, especially green industry enterprises. At the same time, China’ s relatively lower financing costs have attracted foreign governments and institutions to issue Panda Bonds or participate in RMB-denominated project financing, particularly in sustainable and low-carbon projects. In addition, the introduction of the Multi-jurisdiction Common Ground Taxonomy (MCGT) has strengthened market confidence in the transparency and standardization of cross-border green investments, creating new opportunities for RMB in cross-border green capital flows.

Despite the increasing momentum, many enterprises and financial institutions still face practical challenges in cross-border RMB transactions, including limited familiarity with relevant policies and financial products, as well as inefficiencies and costs in cross-border settlement. The seminar will explore the challenges and opportunities of using RMB in cross-border green investment, and how to drive product innovation, through policy framework interpretations and case studies on product innovation.
